  1. i chuckled through most of these amy. especially the special chocolates scenario. do you need some more special chocolates? hopefully (likely) you are smiling too. a little at least. so good that your kids feel comfortable talking about calvin and death. very healing for them, i would imagine.

The tenderest: “What can i do for you, honey?” –Damon
Bittersweet[est]:i’m really sad that calvin doesn’t even know i’m his brother, but i’m really happy that he didn’t have to be sick and live on this earth.” -Nolan
The realest: “can i have one of those special chocolates?” -Ellison [and all, I think]
The cutest: if i was in heaven with calvin, i would start a t.v. show with all of Heavenly Father’s children. i’d call it like ’80 hundred 32 kids and counting’” -Nolan
    Honest[est;)]: “I don’t know.” -me

  4. Let me know how many boxes of special chocolates you get to replace the empty one after all your friends read this.

Glad you had a good-ish day. There will be more of those amongst the tears.

    Sending Brooke your way soon!

  6. They are so sweet. Savannah's simple repeated "I love you" made me smile so big. Wonderful that your kids are able to verbalize the thoughts they are having about their brother.

  8. That is wonderful that your kids are so open and honest. I bet it helps to have all your {awesome} kids around you to make you laugh {and probably cry too}. And that Damon, you sure caught a good one. Or did he catch the good one ;) Yeah, that sounds better! We're still rootin' for you over here in Seattle.

  9. It's amazing how each childs personality is so different. I kept thinking as I read their comments "she's my favorite.... no he's my favorite..." Then I decided that they are all so awesome in their own ways. I am sure that you of all people know how awesome your children are. You have a great family, great kids, great husband, and a great you!
