  1. haha... Mr.______(can't remember his name) has been doing that for years. Matt used to just get a can everyday when he helped 16 years ago.

  3. i'm curious to know if she knew what the payment was before she spent a year cleaning floors? i would at least held out for something involving chocolate. actually, emma probably did it just because she's emma and she does things like that - not for the soda pop.

  4. Did she pick the flavor?

Orange soda is one of the few things that make me hurl upon the very first taste.

  5. cindy- did matt really get a can of pop everyday- or a can of pop for the entire year?

emma knew right from the start of the school year that her great reward would be a single case of pop, her choice of flavors (though i think she choice the orange by process of elimination because every other flavor had caffeine in it). she has been talking about it all year long. so she definitely feels like she got the better end of the bargain.

  7. yep a can a day. Usually Fresca. they didn't sign up at the start of the year. They were "random" help. After they swept then they would shoot some hoops instead of recess. About 3 times a week. It was about 3 boys that did that gig.

  8. I am guessing Lisa is not from the northwest. and i know emz isn't. we don't say "pop" in arizona. it's soda. sounds like you've become a legitimate north-westerner amy.

  9. sarah- i learned "pop" from my upbringing in arizona. i've always said "pop"; "soda" sounds so formal or something. maybe you learned "soda" from your washington upbringing? (though, i can't explain why emz says "soda" and m pretty sure lisa didn't grow up in the northwest so there goes that theory) :)
