we’re 11/12ths of the way there, brooke. post #353. we did it. we’re doing it. last year, starting a blog was something i thought i couldn’t handle. and blogging daily was something i “knew” i couldn’t handle.
this year
has been chock-full of things i
{thought i}
couldn’t handle:
my never-ending back pain that turned out to be my gallbladder
my oldest child growing up way too fast
my {really long} first trimester
my second trimester
my {much shorter} third trimester:
driving to utah with 5 kids all by myself
driving to Arizona with those same children all by myself
being in arizona’s heat for 2 1/2 weeks
coming home to seattle’s week-long heat wave
calvin’s death
but i’m getting through it, one day at a time. some days, just one minute at a time.
and so i say,
bring it on december!
{just kidding, december. i don’t really want you to bring it on. i’d really like a nice, relaxing break with my family. we need it}
You deserve a relaxing December after all that.
ReplyDeleteWhat a journey. Probably a good thing you didn't know ALL of that was going to happen when you started. I just want to say 2 thumbs up on making it 11/12ths of your goal.
ReplyDeleteisn't it hilarious that we both have in our minds that december 31 is the end of it all? so looking forward to that day. so unbelievable that we've actually done this for so long. yes, i'm definitely ready for december. i think i've secretly been looking forward to it since january 2. big pat on the backs for both of us!
ReplyDeleteyou can't call it quits after december 31. what will we all look forward to?
ReplyDeleteI love reading yours and brooke's blogs. i am so glad you started them. please keep writing.
so dang excited for your disneyland trip.
ReplyDeleteand the answer to the question you are wanting to ask me is:
no.
You've had quite a year to say the least, Amy. Always surprising what we can do compared to what we think we can do, isn't it?
