tired?

i’m drawing a blank here.  most days, i can come up with something fairly quickly to blog about.  some days it’s harder.  and then there are days like today where i don’t have anywhere to go with the words i’m typing right now.

i’m tired.  i have had extra little ones at my house most of the day.  i started out my day with a phone call from a friend in labor at 5 a.m.  i went over to her house to be with her 4 other kids (brett r., rachel) while they went to the hospital. 

when i came back to my house around 9 this morning with the 4 extra kids, i was greeted with an additional 2 children (mandy f) that i’d forgotten i’d agreed to watch this morning.  that’s 6 extras. 

then, my next-door neighbor needed to take her oldest to the hospital because she broke her ankle [jumping on our trampoline last night] so we ended up with 2 more.  add jill to the mix and i think we’re up to 14 kids.  is that right?

did i mention i’m exhausted? 

but it all ended well with a healthy baby being born, mandy being able to be at the birth, a cast on mackenzie’s leg, 3 of my children gone for sleepovers at other people’s houses tonight and dinner OUT with my patient husband. 

hey- i guess i did have something to blog about.  here’s to a restful night and a nothing-on-the calendar day tomorrow (just like today).
