- never go outside barefoot. not even “just to go across the street”
- lots of cousins to play with is super fun
- it’s hot- even in an air-conditioned house with ceiling fans running full-time
- you don’t need a blanket at night (or even pajamas for that matter)
- it’s hot outside- even at night when the sun is gone (ray: “nolan! come feel outside [putting his hands out like he’s catching rain]! it’s still hot when it’s dark outside!]
- don’t get in the car until it’s been running with the air-conditioning on for at least 10 minutes
- don’t touch metal; it’s hot
- playing in the backyard is only fun for about 5 minutes before it’s too hot
- rattlesnakes are scary
- lizards are huge and fast
- don’t leave anything in the car; it melts
- it’s hot
- we miss our dad (both of them)

ReplyDeleteTried the egg thing last week. Didn't work. I was soooo disappointed and my kids were very much upset as well. Amen to your list. Rattlesnakes ARE dang scary ESPECIALLY when you find one in the grass in your backyard. That also happened last week. How did I end up here.
