a favorite game

the first night we got here, one of the kids pulled this game out to play and they have been playing it ever since.  2009 07 244

the first time they played it they followed the rules and it was pretty educational.

the kids had to put these cards on their faces:

then they had to ask yes or no questions to everyone else in the circle to try and figure out what or who they were:

pretty quickly, the game has disintegrated.  The kids are putting these cards on their faces, slyly looking downward and then they are suddenly able to simply ask only ONE question, which is usually something like this:

“Am I a fish?’

“Yes!  How did you figure it out so quickly Ray?”

And then there was this turn.   Nolan’s.  He put the card up to his face, quickly looked down to cheat and didn’t quite know what he was supposed to be.  All he could decipher was a crazy/silly outfit.  And he said, “Am I a grandma?”

“Nope, you’re not a grandma.'”

stumped, “Am I a grandpa?”

Wrong again, Nolan.  You’re a clown.

  1. yes, my kids loved this game. apparently i missed this part of the game. but mostly i just want to know which side of the family has silly-dressing grandparents? if it's mom, you don't have to answer publicly ... just whisper to me when passing me some time tomorrow.
